Hot Fudge Sauce

My go to ice cream topping is hot fudge. I just love the combination of the cool creamy ice cream paired a thick, rich and chocolaty hot fudge sauce. It is even better if it’s topped off with chopped almonds, whipped cream, and a cherry.

I have a microwave version that I love to make.  However, I was looking for a simple stove top version using cream and chocolate chips one dat and settled on this recipe. It’s nice and thick.

Hot Fudge Sauce |

Hot Fudge Sauce
  • 1½ cups whipping cream
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ tsp vanilla
  1. In a large sauce pan bring cream to a simmer. Then mix in chocolate chips and brown sugar. Stir until all the chips are melted.
  2. Add the butter and vanilla. Stir until the sauce is smooth without any sugar grains.
