Slow Cooked Salisbury Steak and Crock-Pot® Giveaway

Did you grow up in a Crock-Pot® house? Or do you use the classic timesaver in your own kitchen now? I love to use mine and find it a must have in my kitchen. Especially to make things like this slow cooked salisbury steak.  In fact, I currently own 4 full sized  and 2 mini sized versions.

Well, Crock-Pot® has a new NFL Crock-Pot® Slow Cookers series, which lets you choose from all 32 of your favorite NFL teams. Plus, in early November they launched the Crock-Pot® Create-A-Crock™, which lets you upload family photos and other images to your own, personalized slow cooker.

I recently went online and placed an order for the Crock-Pot® Create-A-Crock™ provided to me by Crock-Pot®.  It should be arriving any day and I can’t wait to see it.  The option of adding your own personal photos to your Crock-Pot® is a fun idea and would make a unique gift.  However, you don’t even have to add photos if you don’t want to.    I chose not to add photos to mine and just loved the idea of choosing a fun design.  I picked a purple gingham design.  It was hard to choose because there are so many fun designs!

You also get to pick the size and design of the Crock-Pot®.  There are 5 to choose from.  I picked the 5.5 qt with the pre-set temperature settings. The great thing about this one is when pre-selected cooking time is complete, this slow cooker will automatically shift to the “Warm” setting.  So not need to stress if you are not home and running late.  Dinner is warm and waiting for you when you arrive.

Two of the Crock-Pots® I own have the black inserts so I elected to get one this time with a white insert.  Plus, I thought it look best with the design I choose.  I really did have fun decided on the entire design of my Crock-Pot®.

The folks at Crock-Pot® are providing a Crock-Pot® for 1 lucky RMK reader to create along with  a Crock-Pot® calendar cookbook, three Crock-Pot® seasoning mixes and a Crock-Pot® slotted spoon.

To enter, just leave me a comment on how you would design you Crock-Pot®.  Would you include photos or just pick a fun design?  You you pick a NFL Crock-Pot®?  If so what team would you pick?  You have until Thursday Dec 6 at midnight (MST) to enter. Winner of the giveaway will be announced in this post after the deadline.

Contest is now closed.  Winner is announced at the bottom of this post.

I also have created a easy recipe to make in your Crock-Pot®.  It is a simple salisbury steak.  If you want you could also cook the masked potatoes to go along with this dish in your Crock-Pot®!  See, this is why you need more than one Crock-Pot®.

My family loved this comforting slow cooked salisbury steak.  I mean you can’t go wrong in my house with meat and potatoes.  I also made sure there was plenty of gravy to eat with those potatoes too!  You could even get this already the night before and place the insert in the fridge.  Then just place it in the Crock-Pot® in the morning and you are all set for dinner that night.

  1. I printed this recipe before you changed your site, how come it doesn’t call for a pkg of brown gravy anymore?

  3. That was fun! Spent too much time on choosing pictures to go on my new Crock Pot, but when I win it will be easy to do.
    Thanks for the contest.

  4. Thanks for the giveaway…my design would be utilitarian & cook friendly: common measurement & conversion charts for cooking would adorn the outside…and an Arizona State University Football logo !

  5. I would get one with an NFL design of the Broncos to serve chili from while watching the games. Go Broncos! 🙂

  6. I sure could use a new crock pot since mine is from the 80″s. I would choose a polka dot design with bright colors!

  7. I would just choose a fun design and big — i have growing boys so I feed what feels like an army!
+ mine is broken and the handle on top is a drawer pull that is screwed in (rusted) LOL

  8. Hmm – hard one. I think I would choose a fun design one – one that is darker enough to hide any spills in case I had to take to a party until I had time to clean it! 🙂

  9. I have been shopping for a crock-pot for Christmas and saw this to enter and hopefully get picked. I would use photos on mine of my family and my pet family…If not picked I am definitely gonna buy one.

  11. Would pick a color to coordinate with my kitchen – most everything is black or stainless and a bright color like red or yellow would look good!

  12. Ok, ths might be weird… But I would do a farm scene with a red and white barn, green grass, guernsey or jersey cow, some buff orpington hens and A roo, a couple goats and a garden patch.. Oh and a few fruit trees.

On another I would make it look like granny wear, ya know, the enameled stuff.
On another I would do a red check…
On another I would do the WSU (Washington state university) logo.. A couple of them.

I currently have (2) 5 qts, (1) 3.5 or 4 qt and a 2qt. I use all of the all the time. Sometimes all of them at once! I love my crocks! And I want more..

  13. I would live to have a red and white checked design like an old picnic blanket with our last name on it. How cool that you can design your own!

  14. I would put pictures of my family in the kitchen together while growing up and give it to my mom as a present!

  15. I desperately need a new crock pot! I’ve had mine since my first college apartment!!! I’d pick one with a more updated design since mine is screaming 1990 something 😉

BTW, love those refried beans! I’m making them again for a Mexican potluck on Saturday. They are so good!

  19. I would have to pick a Vikings crockpot, I think! If the switch to warm feature is not available on that one, I would design my own. I would probably put a picture of my daughter on there, but I might have to wait until January so I can put a picture of our new baby on there, too.

My old crockpot just died and my hubby doesn’t think a woman needs more than one crockpot….i know….little does he know, so I don’t think I will be getting one from him for Christmas….:o)

  23. If I could design my own crockpot, I’d have one with random photos of my family and include their favorite recipe on the crockpot. I am in need of a larger crockpot. My old one just died and my hubby thinks that a woman shouldn’t have more than one crockpot….I know….little does he know…So, I doubt I will be getting one for Christmas…..:o)
