Easy S’mores Cookies

Today’s s’mores recipe is in cookie form. No graham cracker involved here, but you don’t even miss it. It is also done using ready made cookie dough, but if you want to make your cookies from scratch, by all means, feel free do do so. I however, was going for quick and easy. If you need a quick treat to take to a bbq or a treat for the kiddos this recipe is perfect. It is also one the kids could even do on their own.

I also used the new Stacker Mallows out from Kraft to make these. They are cool. They are marshmallow that are flat and square. However, if you can’t find them, just use the regular old round marshmallows and cut them in half. They will work just as good.

Easy S’mores Cookies

  1. Bake cookies according to instructions on the package.
  2. Place 1 StackerMallow on top of each cookie and return to the oven for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove cookies from oven and allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 2 minutes.  Then place cookies on a cooling rack.
  4. Once on the cooling rack, place one rectangle from the Hershey bars on top of each cookie.  Eat while warm or allow to cool.  If you are taking the cookies some where, allow the cookies to cool completely and store place in a container placing wax paper between each layer so the cookies don’t stick together.  Makes 2 dozen cookies.

I came across this on pinterest and made these for a cookie swap. They were so easy and everyone loved them! They seemed to be the most popular cookies there. I did use sugar cookie dough instead of chocolate chip.

I love how easy these are! A great way to dress up that refrigerated cookie dough! I recently made a fantastic S’mores cookie that I shared on my blog that was a basic chocolate chip cookie recipe with ground graham crackers substituted for some of the flour and they were a huge hit!

Oh these look so yummy! It’s o much fun to create new versions of the ever popular S’mores. My favorite version is a skinny frozen treat, http://www.skinnykitchen.com/recipes/you%E2%80%99ll-flip-for-these-skinny-frozen-smores-no-campfire-needed/
