I recently made a wonderful discovery and must share it will all of you. I found out that you can make yummy flat bread in 3 minutes, per piece of flat bread that is.  The answer is refrigerated canned biscuit dough.

Yep, I found another great use for them.  It actually makes pretty tasty 3 minute flat bread. The process is a breeze. Pop open a package of canned biscuit dough, separate into individual biscuits, and flatten into thin round discs. Then, just cook them up in a skillet. Another great thing is you dry cook this, NO oil.

So it’s healthier for you. You could make little sammies like they have a Quizno’s with this flat bread.  There are so many other great uses for this quick and easy flat bread.  It’s a clever time-saving culinary hack! Be sure to stop back tomorrow when I share a recipe that I made with this flat bread.  All I can say is yummy!

Ingredients

  • 1 tube 16.3 ounces large refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (This is the Pillsbury Grands. I used the buttermilk flaky layers)

Instructions

  • Roll out each biscuit into a 6-in. circle. It is important to get it to the 6 inch circle so it's the right thickness.
  • In a small nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook each biscuit for 30-60 seconds (I did 60 seconds) on each side or until golden brown.  Yes that is right, DO NOT put any oil in the pan.  You cook them in a completely dry pan.  Makes 8 servings.
