So I am so glad to finally be in my new house and in my new kitchen. We are still getting settled and unpacked. It’s a process moving stuff for 5 people.
So I’m not quick ready to share pictures of my entire new kitchen yet, but this week I thought I would share with you the choices I made for the appliances in my new kitchen.
Now since I do use my kitchen for my job, it was important that I get the right appliances. A lot of creating and cooking with be happening in this new place.
So when selecting my oven, I decided on the LG Stainless Steel Slide-in Electric Range. Now I know gas is considered the best for cooking, however there are some advantages to going with electric over gas. I love the added counter space you can get with a glass top electric oven. It also looks very sleek and clean, which was what I wanted.
My husband is very analytical and loves to research items before we buy them with Consumer Reports and other places on the web. He gave the nod to this one as LG is one of the top rated in the reports.
I wanted to go for a slide in model, this means there is no back on the oven with the knobs. The top is flat and the knobs are in front. This way I could have some fun tile work above my oven which you can kind of see in the picture above. Another benefit is the ability to adjust your burners according to the size of the pans. The 2 front burners have 2 sizes to choose from and there is also a warming zone burner in the back middle portion of the cook top.
There is also ultraheat available for these burners. It’s the most power burner available with 3200 W. This means it delivers LG’s fastest boil! Man is that gonna be good to have.
The ProBake Convection is another added feature. I can bake regularly or use convection bake with this oven. If you choose to use the convection bake, you just put in the regular baking temperature and the oven will convert it to the convection bake temperature for you.
One feature I really look forward to using in the EasyClean®. In three easy steps and 10 quick minutes my oven can be sparkling clean, without strong chemical fumes or high heat. The instructions say to simply spray the oven interior with water, press EasyClean® and then in 10 minutes, quickly wipe away any leftover grime and my oven is nice and clean.
Of course it includes a nice storage drawer at the bottom too. I use this to store all of my baking sheets along with any lids that go with any of them. I actually have 9 baking sheets and 2 lids in there along with the spray bottle included to use when cleaning the oven.
For you locals, I did purchase my oven at the RC Willey Draper Location with the help of a good friend, Lance Kingsford. He likes to cook himself and is a very knowledgeable resource for appliances. If you shop there for any new appliance, I high recommend him to help you out!
Disclosure: I was not compensated in any way for this post. I simply wanted to share my knowledge and experience with my readers.
