It has been freezing here in Utah. The high for yesterday where I live was 7 and the low was -1. We have been looking for ways to help keep warm. Hot chocolate is one of our favorite ways to warm up. I did a hot chocolate week last year and decided to do it again this year.
To celebrate hot chocolate week, I also have a big announcement to share with all of you. I have a new cookbook coming out this fall titled “Warm Up Your Winter – Holiday Hot Chocolate and Cider Recipes”. It will include some delicious recipes along with a picture for each recipe. I will keep you all informed about when it exactly comes out and we are also planning on having a launch party too. You all also get a sneak peek of the cover. I am very pleased at how it turned out!
For today’s recipe, we combine two of my favorite things – hot chocolate and Biscoff spread. It is a very interesting combination with the sweet chocolate and buttery cinnamon Biscoff. The recipe makes 1 serving and is quick to make. You can always triple, quadruple, etc. to feed more. Just warm the milk on the stove top in place of the microwave.
- 1 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp Biscoff Spread
- 2 Tbsp chocolate syrup
- whipped cream or mini marshmallows
- Add the milk to microwave safe mug and heat for 1-2 minutes until milk is heated. Add Biscoff spread and chocolate syrup to the milk and stir until dissolved.
- Garnish with whipped cream or mini marshmallows and enjoy. Serves 1.
