I found this recipe in a Betty Crocker magazine that I received. I thought it looked like a quick and easy recipe. I also love the taste of sausage and maple syrup together. I am a big fan of sweet and savory flavors combined, so I thought it was worth trying. My whole family loved it. Next time, I think I’ll double the recipe though. My family was asking for more. The only thing I did different with the recipe was use 1 pound of sausage instead of 12 oz. The only trick I can suggest for this recipe is that once you pour the batter over the sausage and cheese use a knife to help spread the batter around. I tried to use a rubber spatula at first and it didn’t work as well.
