Over the years I have owned several blenders. I know that I have owned at least 4 of them over the past 18 years. A blender can be a handy tool, however, the blenders I have owned have never lived up to my expectations. Two or the 4 I have owned died when the motor burned up. The two main things I use my blender for is making smoothies and German pancakes.
From the time that smoothie shops began popping up, I would always covet those beautiful blends used there to make deliciously thick smoothies. I always dreamed of being able to have such a machine in my own home. Once I found out that such a blender was available for home use, I wanted one. That was until I saw the price. I was skeptical as to if the price was worth the investment. Would the blender hold up and make those delicious smoothies I love?
When I received a request from Blendtec for a review, it was a dream come true. I would finally be able to give the blender that I have wanted a try. I decided to test it out with a smoothie recipe and decided to try one from the recipe book provided with the Blendtec blender (recipe is included below).
It produced a smoothie just as I had expected. It was the thickest smoothie I had ever made at home. There we no hunks or chunks of anything left in my blender. It was just like the ones in the smoothie shops I love to visit. So far I have only tested this blender on smoothies, but I am excited to try all of the other amazing things you can do with the Blendtec blender like:
- Almond Butter
- Ice Cream
- Whipping Cream
- Baby Food
I was surprised to find out the it can even grind grains and meats. It can replace up to 9 appliances and is like a blender and food processor combined!
Blendtec is even providing a blender for one of you! It is a retail values of $454.95. To enter, leave a comment on this post telling me the first thing you would make in your Blendtec blender if you were the lucky winner. You have until Friday Sept 22 at midnight (MST) to enter.
