Spreading Smucker’s Traditions Giveaway

My family enjoys using  jams, jellies, fruit spreads and fruit butter as part of our meal time.  Spreading it on toast and hot butter rolls are some of the favorite ways we enjoy them.  We also like to use them with waffles, pancakes (especially the German version), scones, and don’t forget the traditional PB and J sandwiches.

I also like into incorporate  jams, jellies, fruit spreads and fruit butter into recipe too.  Here are some of my favorites.

Cherished family traditions often begin in the kitchen, and the makers of Smucker’s® jams, jellies, preserves, fruit spreads and fruit butters know a thing or two about bringing families together through wonderful meals.

The finalists in their fourth annual Spreading Smucker’s Traditions Recipe and Essay Contest was announced on February 8, 2012 and once again the contest features original recipes that are part of family traditions, make celebrations special and are made with a Smucker’s product. One lucky winner’s family dish will help bring loved ones together for the ultimate family reunion.

To celebrate the finalist recipes in this year’s Spreading Smucker’s Traditions Recipe and Essay Contest, they have provided  a beautiful gift basket (ARV: $50.00) for one RMK reader.  The basket includes:

  •  A variety of Smucker’s fruit spreads
  • Cloth-bound Recipe book
  • Gingham-patterned set of spreaders

To enter, leave a comment on this post telling me you favorite way to enjoy jams, jellies, preserves, fruit spreads and fruit butters.  You have until Wednesday Feb 22 at midnight (MST to enter).

To check out the finalists recipe and essays visit smuckers.com.

Disclosure: Smucker’s has provided a gift basket for me along with the one for the giveaway.

Sometimes I enjoy eating my Smuckers jam from the spoon!

  16. Erika February 19, 2012 at 4:28 am #

Our absolute favorite ways to use Smuckers is to make “breakfast pizzas.” We usually make frozen waffles and then spread Strawberry jam for the sauce, on the top. We then lay sliced bananas on top of the jam, for “pepperoni” and if we want we cut up some strawberries for “tomatoes.” The kids love it and gobble it right up! Our favorite. We also slice it into triangles just like a real pizza.

ever since my children (who now have children of their own) have been small we have enjoyed toasted, buttered english muffins with grape jelly as an after school snack or for lazy Sunday mornings- it is still one of our favorite things to eat-
and I remember my mother spreading jelly or jam into a buttered pie plate and then spacing canned biscuits over and baking- you turn them upside down when they come out of the oven and they are fabulous, warm or cold- one of her tasty ideas I passed on to my children-
